OK guys and gals, why all the secrecy? What cool things did I miss this year? I'm really bummed that I couldn't get to the Engrave-In this year, so I need to at least read about it and maybe see some pictures! Come on and share.

Well first of all, you missed me doing absolutely nothing interesting. Heard some good stories and watched the beautiful male peacock try to woo the female and she would rather peck grass and ignore him. Poor fella.

Seriously folks? Only ONE person went to Scott's Engrave-In this year! Someone must have taken some pictures. Who gave the lectures and what were the topics this year etc.? "Inquiring minds want to know."

Jerry Spaulding took a bunch of photos and I bet he'll post them soon. I only attended Sunday and no seminars took place that day. I got to hang out with my old pal Amayak Stepanyan for a while and had to leave. I only took videos of the peacock that was hot and bothered…. and ultimately frustrated.

I attended Monday and planned on it Tuesday but allergy kicked my butt. I learned more than I knew so that was good for me.

i spoke to Jerry today, and he sent me a group of photos, but I will let him decide which photos to post. Doug Larson is presently gathering photos from attendees and will probably post an album soon. Stay tuned.

Seminars included the history of love-token carvings, the politics of elephant ivory ban attempts and gold inlay techniques. I may have missed some while I was listening to Amayak's experiences in knifemaking and engraving.

I hosted a FEGA OUTREACH TABLE at Scott's Engrave-In, and I thank Scott for his hospitality. Six engravers renewed their FEGA memberships and three new engravers enrolled in FEGA. I handed out quite a few FEGA Engraver Magazines and FEGA brochures.

Scott fed us well, Catherine Plumer brought excellent peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies, and I had so much fun that I forgot to visit the excellent flea-market in Monteagle.
