I'm trying to get better photos of a couple more bulino pieces I have, but it's not coming to easily. So, if you would indulge me a bit I would like to share with you some of the other things I've been doing and at the same time practice attaching pics in the post from my new experience with "photobucket." I figure if I sell some of this stuff it would help offset the cost of a new graving machine <wink, wink>. So here goes. I think I've got this photo transfer thing down now I need to get some decent photos to attatch. Thanks guys -- let me know what you think.

That's nice Santo! I've got to try some of that. Too little time and way too much to do. :D Dwayne

Santo, is the wolf on bone? the ram has great intensity, the wolf looks a little washed out, but if it is bone it is hard to get the same intensity. Are you sealing the bone with something before you scrim?
Also have you tried scrimming with a graver or blade included? You can get more intensity using lines sometimes. It is too good to not be able to see it. The wolf looks kind of whispy, but maybe that was your intent?

Great art work though..........Keep up the good work!.......Ron S

Thanks Dwayne, it is time intensive but worth it.

Ron, it's a piece of mastodon ivory. I left it a little rough for a more woodsy effect. This is a terrible photo. I've reworked it since I took this pic so it's better but not as punchy as the ram. I should have sealed this one cause it's so dry. All the oils have gone out of it a few thousand years ago. I've used super glue in the past but I'm not to fond of that. Someone told me once to try clear fingernail polish. What would you suggest? Thanks for your input Ron it is much respected and appreciated.

Hi Santo.
They are very nice, great job.
I must agree with all Ron said.
Unless you did it this way on purpose, the wolf would benefit from some lines for a little more punch.
The ram looks very good but I think that a couple of areas would be even better, crisper with a little more linework.
I'm very glad to see you back working on your art.
You're on the right track and each one will just get better.
Best wishes to you, John B.
