The October 07 of the NRA magazine "America's First Freedom" has 6 pages of some very detailed photos of Deluxe and Premiere grade engraving circa 1910.
The photographs of the engraving are quite large and it is easy to make out individual cuts. While by the standards at the time, this work was thought top of the line, (the gun was priced at $1000 at the time when the base gun could be bought for less than $30) by today's standards the execution of the engraving is relatively poor.
Worth a pickup from your local newstand if you are interested in gun engraving at all.
