TATTOO styled engraving practice

Decided to go fishing for Koi did this practice with my smaller airgraver still pretty happy with the results of my lathe work and practice is getting more entertaining as always comments are welcomed. Apologies for the bad photography

cute looking little guy ! looks like you used a round on this ? i would have used a smaller graver here. i think the width of the cuts kind of detracts from the overall look you have achieved here. i see you used a square on the tail. what size is the plate ?

It's all cut with a 90 degree the photo is just really bad. I did cut way to deep hence the wide look on the cuts. Still had a blast buzzing away. The practice plate is 1.7500x2.5000". Thanks for the comment!

ok, thanks. one should never give up, but i did. i just use a little cannon "elph". if that doesn't do well enough, oh well !

First step to better photos: use a tripod! Or a bean bag, or some other support. Get the camera nice and steady and use the self-timer if you can. You'll be amazed at how much sharper your photos will be.
