St first you would think that this metal is just nickel but it is not.52 %copper, 25 % zinc y 23 %nickel.I saw this alloy being made for use by students in Argentina.I never tried to do anything with it but was curious about the alloy content and it physical properties. I asked Luis if it is easy to engrave and his reply was that he preferred stainless steel!!!!! This is what a lot of cheap jewelery and mountings are made from but it takes just as much work to do anything with it as silver. It kinda reminded me of what John B. told me,"if you can inlay silver, gold inlays just come more easily." Same could be said for engraving and inlaying on alpaca!!!!!!!!! Nice buckle Luis!!!!

Hola,

Estoy feliz por sus comentarios. Me compromete a seguir trabajando.

La alpaca es un metal que se utiliza en reeamplazo de la plata, es más barato. Dave, a mi me gusta grabar el acero inoxidable jeje La alpaca se graba muy fácil, es mucho más blanda que el acero inoxidable y más dura que la plata...

Estoy feliz, gracias...

Luis
