This is a Winchester model 21 I did last year. Again, hammer & chisel work in deep relief with most of the quail and a select few of the oak leaves in raised steel inlay (a somewhat difficult process). The raised steel gives an additional perspective adding to the visual effect of the relief work. This one is finished in what I call an antique nickel (subdued nickel with a blackened background). Unfortunately, had to deliver it before I got really good pics but, I will be getting it back soon for a much better photo shoot. Lesson #1: always get good pics of your work!
Hope you enjoy,
Weldon

Hi Weldon
Please keep making those mistakes because that is some really fine engraving and I appreciate your sharing with us.

Hi Weldon.

I remember you posting this on the FEGA site and the steel inlay tutorial you did. Fantastic.

When you get it back to take more photos I'd be keen to see them.

Antique nickle finish? is that a french grey or something different?

Cheers
Andrew

Weldon,

You said you delivered it? Something must be wrong cause I've looked everywhere around MY house and I don't see it anywhere. Must have been delivered to the wrong guy... ;)

That is fine work and I admire your style. Thanks for posting my shotgun (I wish).
