Have to agree with the thoughts in the video. Always feel like crap when a day goes by and I don't get something done. Making things with your hands must work, they haven't had me committed to a mental institution or nursing home yet. LOL

Yup, and you CAN hand engrave with part of your hipbones transplanted into your hand.

Been doing that since '86.


And without being able to lift and hold up the engraving arm.

Been doing it that way for almost 12 years now...

You just gotta wanna bad enough.

Besides, with the transplant/hand surgery - I am the ONLY guy you will ever know who can scratch his butt in public and nobody ever notices...

ever since child hood i have always "made things" with my hands. to this day i am still addicted to working with my hands. my scope cart has gone thru 3 or so versions. made of angle iron and such. had i not gotten into engraving, i'd still be fiddling with stuff. i absolutely agree, at least for me, definitely therapeutic.

The Mrs. always says I'm more "at peace with myself" when I am fabbing or forging or tooling whatever it is as long as I'm doing with my hands I am stress free and pleasant the same goes for my job. If I'm able to fabricate there it's a better day..

The only thing I like as much or more than making something with my hands (and mind) is to take something apart to see what makes it work. Usually something that is broken or doesn't work right...no good to me as is so apart it comes!
