I just saw in the GRS catalog that their nickel silver belt buckles have been discontinued. I called to confirm this and they said their supplier quit making them and they are out of stock. That's a real drag :(,I really like those buckles, great little project piece at a great price. And I just had someone ask me for two engraved belt buckles, I still have one blank oval, grrrr! Does anyone know of anybody else selling a similar product?

rio-grande used to sell a variety of buckle blanks, in a variety of materials. i make my own, so no problem for me. if rio cant supply your needs, just google "belt buckle blanks". you'll likely find too many to go over.

Thanks Monk, I Google and found the son of my neighbor that used to make spurs, he passed in 2007. I never knew where his son was. He is carrying on his dad's legacy by making spurs, and selling pieces and parts for hobbyists.

Our neighbor was Spence Liles, his son is Steve Liles, has a website called Steve's Fine Things, unfortunately no nickel silver buckles. But he does have the buckle parts in steel.

Steve's looks like a great place for someone that wants to build a pair of spurs.

Steves fine things are good products. There is another site, it escapes my mind at the moment but they deal sterling blanks, maybe nickel, not certain. I'll see if I can find it.

Wow, thanks for all the great info everyone, looks like I won't be knocked out of the belt buckle engraving business after all and I'll be seeing Brian sometime this week to see about making my own. Thank you Engravers Cafe
