I just received my Autumn copy of the Double Gun Journal, and came upon an article "Lessons From The Engravers of London" by Barry Lee Hands. If you get a chance to read its about Ken and Marcus Hunt...two of our very talented engravers from across the Pond. Keep up the good work.

Yours truly,

We are fortunate to have this forum that enables us to rub shoulders with all these great engravers such as those pointed out by Barry. There are so many fine artists available here to share their knowledge and talents. Thanks again Sam and Abigail!:)

in the land of Scrolls,
sounds like a great read. Barry is a good writer and certainly knows the subject. Maybe I can get the condensed verbal version when I pick up Ken and Marcus at the airport a week from today. Going to be wearing my blue chauffer's uniform with the little peaked cap.

Gonna have to brush up my subservient King's English too, since I will be hauling around a Grand Master. "Oh yes Sir, It would be my pleasure Sir" , "Very Pleased to help you sir." "May I sharpen your gravers Sir?"

Obviously Ken does'nt need any of that Balding Wax, but we may have to get a few tins for Marcus.

Marcus' day will come. One day he'll be cutting away just minding his own business and wake up the next day with a bunch of hair in the sink and a head slicker n' a bell pepper. 20 more years and I'll be there too...:( :D
