Someone once asked about showing our work spaces to other Members, I'm new to Engraving though I have been Plating Jewelry and other Metals for some time so I just added another Bench and made my little ZEN place, Turn on the music and I lose myself in Engraving, Being Widowed 18 months ago and the kids all out of the house, Im disabled from work for life due to a real bad accident, This has given me a new lease on life, My family even notices how much happier I am since I've gotten into Engraving, Couldn't have done any of it without the help from ALL of you out there, Thanks, i attached a link to the pictures of my shop if you click where it says my work place you should be able to see them.Hope this worked

Ed, glad you are "into" engraving so thoroughly. I've been at it for over 50 years now and would surely be lost without my daily dose of cutting! Lost my wife over 21 years ago now and having my engraving to fall back on was a great help and still is!!

Man. It literally keeps me from crawling up into a ball and sitting in the corner thr rest of my life. Just cutting a thousand straight lines is the best therapy in the world. Thanks for th he post I don't feel so alone

"These little titles in blue are links to some pictures if interested, just click on one and a picture should pop up ."done for my grand daughter. the wood plane "new" starting work. 1st inlay complete"G's" ready for gold close up of name b4 inlay... I did a Celtic braid down the spine of the Handle with a small copper inlay in it but 4 got to take a picture of that, My son in law will take one and send it to me as soon as he has the time and I will post it, There was plenty of room for more engraving but in this case I thought that less was better, just my opinion. Like I said I just started a few months before so I realize there are tons of issues with the piece but not under a microscope and it looks alright, My family and most of all "Son in law " love it, Thats all that matters to me. Thanks in advance for any constructive criticism.

Like I said Ed, you are not alone. I don't collect or play guitars but have built a few for fun and also to experiment with engraved inlays. Here are photos of a baritone ukulele I built for fun and to experiment with engraving inlays. Sort of "before and after" shots BU5 e2.jpg Bear claw top.jpg

Thats really Impressive, I had upwards of 60 at one point but have sold some, a few previously owned by celebs like, Carlos Santana, Peter Frampton ,Lemmy Kilmeister. and than a bunch of Vintage ones, both Acoustic and Electric.. Did you finish this and get her playing ?

If your looking to sell it I could put the word out in the circle I deal with. Maybe we get lucky. Just so you know up front that I'm not looking for any kind of compensation if I help you sell it. Its just one guy
