That pic looking up the tree, and the full moon too, remind me of one of the many, many nights I escorted an old dog outside to pee (bear with me, this gets better). It was winter and there had been a light freezing rain earlier, but the sky was now crystal clear. With a full moon directly overhead, the leafless, ice covered trees sparkled like the greatest Christmas lights EVER. This was back in the days before cellphone cameras, and I've always kicked myself for not going to the trouble of dragging out my Nikon. But how many of us would do that at 20 degrees in a bathrobe at 3AM???
Recent video shot at the Aurora Borealis Observatory in Norway shows a magnificent reindeer, seemingly unfazed by either the spectacular lime-green light-show above nor the camera in front of him.
