I would like someone to recommend a printer for transferring images using the acetone method, I bought a ink jet, and have had no good results, I was told I should be using a laser printer,
Can anybody recommend a specific one? I am a retired Pipefitter who took a couple of engraving lessons, It seemed pretty easy in class, now I struggle.
Also, is there a site I can buy clip art? in particular birds and cranes?
Thank you

Please take something to copy to a seller of laser copy machines.
Get some prints made on plain copy paper, from machines that fit your price range.
Mark them with the name and number of the printer that made them
Take the copies home and try them on some clean metal of your choice.
That way you can avoid costly, frustrating mistakes.

thank you, I will try that, it makes sense, I am in a rural area, I will call staples to see if that is possible.

You don't need to buy any Clipart. You can go online and do a search for bird drawings, bird line art, birds black and white, anything you like, then click on "images". There you go. Just scroll down until you see something you like. As long as your not selling your work you don't need to worry about copyrights.
