Help, please: Chuck key needed - resolved

I recently picked up this well abused L.W. Jery "The Rex" vise, and it didn't come with a check key.
I know this is a long shot, but anyone have one lying around that they'll part with?
Hole measures around 8mm (.315").

A 1/4” thumb driver with an 8mm tip

These thumb drivers were 2.99 at advanced auto parts and the bits I bought an entire set at harbor freight for 8.99

Thanks for the tip. Looking into the hole, it takes a flat type key. A screwdriver worked well, but wasn't ideal. Unfortunately I don't have access to a machine shop so decided to epoxy a piece of 1/4" hardened Allen wrench into the hole. Once dry, I can use a 1/4" socket.

I’m actually a fan of Harbor Disposables! BUT you gotta be careful what you buy there. In general, anything with a motor should be avoided, but they have a lot of basic odds n ends cheap. I’m even occasionally pleasantly surprised at the performance of some products. Work gloves, for one (or two?).

A couple years ago i needed a magnetic base- like for a dial indicator, but for a very basic, utilitarian application- and the cheapest ones on MSC & Grainger were like $60. Harbor Freight FTW! With the usual 20% discount coupon, $11.

In my experience, buying tools from Harbor Freight has been mostly positive, just don't try and earn a living with them.

No motors or batteries for me from HR. Caught my plow truck on fire and I had to file a claim.
