Recent work- angel and wreath

While I pop in to check things out every few months, I haven't been in here much the past few years. But I'm still trying to keep out of trouble, and still carving stone. Latest project, a gravestone in Indiana limestone. It's 4' wide, 2' high, and 1' deep, and the angel is carved with 3" of relief.



And on the back side, a wreath with lovebirds, and the couples wedding date.

Wonderful work. I can appreciate its complexity. I did this many years ago on a cradle for my granddaughter. It was my 1st attempt at relief woodcarving.
