Critique Request Realistic work, Bulino shading techniques

Learning bulino, still feel as though I’m stippling rather than popping out individual chips with my dots.
Anybody have any techniques they find that works well to actually pop the chip out of each dot rather than just pressing it in?

Cannot say one way or another if you're doing it correctly, can say it looks good though.

You got to be doing it right because it looks great!

I basically use a sharp scribe to do as you do, but add just a tiny little flip upwards as I remove the point to remove a tiny bit of the metal. As i go along I will scrape a fingernail over the work to remove burrs.

Looks like a photo! Excellent work I will say. Not qualified to critique, I think at your level your individual style will shine through.

I use a 70 degree graver sharpened to a 45 face with no heel. Like Sam, I just poke and lift away from an angle as I go along I use a piece of brass to scrape off the small burrs

yup. It takes time …and can get boring also. Goes with the territory
