Old silver engraving

I had bought this spoon primarily because it an inexpensive and marked sterling. When I studied the bowl of the spoon it’s apparent that the lettering and the School building is hand engraved. Very fine line shading. For a souvenir spoon the engraver had to be working awfully cheaply. Thought folks might like to see some old work.

Interesting name for a school…

Yeah. There were apparently real proud how much the new school cost. The handle of the spoon depicted the Nebr State Capital building who’s was before the current one prior one built in the 1930’s. Probably the equivalent to multi millions in today’s $.
