GraverMax and Magnum Question

Hello all,

I am getting into western brightcut work and after talking with Jeremiah Watt and the GRS sales team I switched from ordering a Lindsay Classic to a GraverMax with a Magnum hand piece and some of the Liners Diane Scalese uses in her dvd. My question is this, I know the setup I have is ideal for larger brightcut but will it also suffice for finer brightcut work on rings and other smaller trinkets? I mainly plan on engraving pieces that will be used in my rawhide work but as expected will have certain special women (spouse and daughters) I would like to from time to time make special gifts for. Thanks in advance!

when I was teaching at GRS they gave Diane and myself a Magnum to play with as it was still in the developing stages. Naturally Diane went heavy bright cut to test is out. I decided to see how stepped down or fine I could get with it and went the other way. I reduced the air pressure on the machine and proceeded to do fairly fine shading with it. That actually surprised the engineers and me too The answer then is yes to your question. I have one and like using it.

Thank you! I am doing more and more research on this and have seen in other forum posts that the combination of the Magnum and a Monarch would allow me to cover pretty much the entire spectrum and considering I have the extra outlet on the Max I think I will add that to the bench to round out the capabilities and allow me to work between super fine all the way up to chunking if needed.
