    Skip the argentium and just rodium plate them after engraving if you want to keep them bright. Rodium plating just takes a few seconds to apply. It will stay bright for a very long time if it is not worn and just used for display.

    Since it is purely decorative, I might consider selective gold plating with a plating pen and skip the headache of getting near a torch.

    Well that might just be a bad Idea. You can however overlay(braze) it on and still get the effect you are wanting which may be the better idea.

    OK thank you everyone, it worked out fine . I did end up having to buy a new printer as my ol dinosaur inkjet is definitely obsolete and they no longer make cartridges for it any more.
