    A copied design should be a template not a cheaper almost identical reproduction. Steve has every right to protect his patent in this situation as the Andu is almost identical. Even Steve's uses of 50 and 60 yr. old designs have substantial changes and improvements.

    Got the replacement shaft. Corrected almost all the wobble, but still not spinning perfectly true. Just have to accept that these aren't as good as Grs or Lindsay turntables, but for lower cost it's acceptable for now. If I get good at engraving, I'll get a better one.

    And it looks like I stepped down from a 52mm-48mm at the Barlow, and then up from a 48mm-55mm from the Barlow to the scope.

    Actually, I'm using 2 step-down adapters in combination to put a Nikon 0.5 barlow on my Aus Jena. I've taken pics, but will probably have to get somebody at work to help me post them as I don't have very good computer skills. Post them on Tuesday. Hope you solve your problem even before then...

    I have the Nidec BW-25HC, It has a wobble in it too. I took it apart and realized the top end bolt was not welded on straight. I contacted Nidec and their sending another shaft.
