    Pictorio transfer

Obviously I'm in no position to say which is the best printer for your use. I would suggest you take some sheets of the film you intend to use to the place you intend to buy from and ask them to print you a test page, text or picture, in "Best Print", "Black ink only". Then use the samples for...

    Pictorio transfer

Clean the metal with acetone to remove finger oil etc, and dry it. Go into the the Ink Jet printer "settings" and order "Best Quality," Black Ink only." Print on the rough side of the film Apply Prismacolor Colorless Pen fluid or Print Magic to the area where you want the transfer to go to...

And as Sam said, copper needs a sharp hit to bite the burs and flow into the undercut. You have the teeth too far apart, to much un-toothed metal between them! And in my experience...

    Multicolor inlay (first try)

I would suggest that you open the blade and tape it well for safety. Then insert some thin wood, like tongue depressors. in the blade space to give the knife scales solid support while undercutting or installing the inlay. This will help to take any bounce out of the area and make the work more...

Some people use the price of power engraving tools as their excuse for not beginning engraving! Who say's you need a mechanical engraving machine to start and learn to engrave? Much of the best engraving in the world is done with hammer and chisel or push gravers. And these tools are easily...

Modern Hi End Shotguns and their engravings. Some observations...

Hard to answer your question without seeing a picture of what you are talking about. Some engravings for 1K are too expensive and others at 10K are priced too low.
