Good that you are taking a second look at an interesting drawing. As I see it, and for what it is worth, the right side is full and fills the available space. The left side is much lighter and doesn't balance with the rest of the design. The right side fills the available space with a reasonable...

    Help, please: old gravermeister advice

Tortlieb. it would be a help if you put your general location in your Cafe bio. Might be someone in your area who has experience with the MG and could tell you if it's running right. Maybe they have an original handpiece to hook up for a test of your machine. Just a thought.

What Leland said and also the third and last scroll backbone does not attach to anything. It just appears from behind an outside leaf. The outside leaf at the point of origin is not attached and several other outside leaves are incorrectly attached to the backbone. You have some nice elements...

    Help, please: old gravermeister advice

Tortlieb, I expect you know this. The Gravermiester is an adaptation built on a basic Gast pump. Gast pumps are still made and you might check with the company for old parts and instruction books availability. Gast pumps are widely used in industry and many are installed to extract condensate in...

Question: Background removal cleanup and consistent texture question

I find it best to use it with two hands. One hand pulling the cutter back towards me while the fingers of the other hand provide downward and steady pressure on the tool, I suggest you make a small relief area on a practice plate first, to get the feel of it.

Question: Background removal cleanup and consistent texture question

With a large area like that it's important to get it level and flat BEFORE texturing. Making and using a scrapping tool would have been a big help in this area. Nice looking stylized lion.

    Third bulino attempt

What a wonderful improvement on the lower body areas, jaw, grass and the main horn. And wonderful how enough white was left in the background above the ears to make it interesting and mysterious. It's so true.! " The difference between...

    Third bulino attempt

Well done. Much better on the upper outline from ears to horn. The outline is still a little too noticeable next to the grass area and at neck and back above the ears. A little darkening of the shadow next to the animal above the ears, like you have below the ears ,should fix this. Great work...
