I took a class in Antwerp last June. Chris DeCamillis was the teacher. What a great guy.

I engraved one side of the knife in class but had to finish the rest as homework. This is my first try at engraving scrolls and doing shading. So there is a lot that I need to learn. I want to engrave another knife and GRS sells a self study kit that I am planing to buy next.

The things that look good on the knife are the result of the great teaching of my Jedi master Chris DeCamillis and the things that are no good are my mistakes. So any tips you guys can give me will be greatly appriciated.

Eddi,
The knife looks great! Good job. You should be proud of that!
Now, as far as referring to Chris as Jedi Master....oh dear....hmmmm I'm afraid he's really going to like that.:p
I'm thinking Andrew Biggs could have a little fun with that as well.

Eddi, I'm with the rest of the bunch, I think it looks great! If you see something that you're not pleased with, just keep working on it and practice makes perfect like they say, but from this end it looks really good to me. Hang in there & keep up the good work! Dwayne

Thanks for all the kind words. It means more to me to hear this from people that know what they are talking about. There are not many here in Iceland that know the difference between good engraving and a bad one. You encourage me to keep at it.

Daniel/ the self study kit is shown here :http://www.grstools.com/scrollkits.html Only problem is that I cant get an e-mail trough to them the grs@grstools.com does not seem to be working.

All the best
Eddi
