Adobe targets new users with online Photoshop

I hate those rip off merchants at Adobe. Tell me how they justify this?????.......

Actually that seems not to be a problem. I signed up, just marked that yes, I'm from US and worked just fine.
But yet I can't find a good reason to use it over computer based software... If you want free, then GIMP does almost everything that PS does. I can't imagine uploading 12MB raw files, or even hundreds of 3-4MB jpeg's to web just to crop, rotate, remove red eyes and do color correction to them. But that's just me

US only (to save anyone else wasting their time trying to sign up).
Marcus: I spoke to customer service at Adobe and they said the reason the UK price is twice as much is because "They talk funny over there".
