Nice practice piece. My only suggestion would be to have shorter pins holding the box. The ones that are taller than the object being engraved kind of restrict the circular path of the tool and might have caused the outer scrolls to lose their shape. But otherwise keep cutting.

The little boxes are inexpensive and even though practice pieces kinda nifty and can be given away and used by the recipient. Never found much use for flat practice plates.

no problem. I had ran across the small tins by chance otherwise would not have known either. Early large tins did not have Altoids name embossed in the metal. Mom would be so proud to know her son has become the world’s most foremost expert on Altoids tins. See that college education has not gone to waste!
