Now that is impressive and beautiful. It was probably done as a casting, don't you think? Of course, it still had to be sculpted in wax I think, but I could be wrong. It is a good study never the less and masterfully done. You get to see it first hand, and touch it, and are you going to put it on the wall or something? well, found it in the drawer of the workplace, boss told that original might be in plaster,the mould in gelatine, the plate itself is a copper galvano.. already spent quite some time looking and feeling.. Guess it s austrian or german..... I ll check if I find more information about Mayer
