Hello all,
Does anyone have a good source for bronze letters and numbers for belt buckles, rings, bracelets etc. ?? IJS doesn't seem to carry them anymore......
Not sure if they sell them, but try RSI Studios. Their website is currently "under renovation" but it does have their contact info, give them a call. They do all types of signage fabrication, and have waterjets, bronze casting, etc... http://www.rsi-design.com/
The overlaid letters you "normally" see on western belt buckles, money clips, bracelets, and rings are cut by hand from sheet silver, gold & brass - using a jewelers saw.
I once spent a year or so doing pretty much nothing but cutting peoples names out of gold to be hung on chains around their necks...
Often wondered if they couldn't remember their names or it was more like a human version of a dog's ID collar?
Never asked to have their phone numbers cut or engraved on 'em - so I kinda doubt the latter.
Humans are very strange creatures...
