Carving a sba dollar

Here is a cheap practice plate for new coin carvers, a 1979 sba dollar..Original hair recut, Liberty added to hair, face design changed, added double strand necklace, etc..I included picture of original sba dollar so you can compare before and after recarve..I did use my gravermax with airtact along with my hand push gravers to cut down on the recarving time, but it could have been recarved only hand push gravers..

do you have to worry about cutting thru the silver layer?
