Did this as a bit of fun to try engraving some wildlife. It's a Harley ignition cover in brass and looneynum. The central design is borrowed from here IIRC.



I may give this away eventually, but it's not for sale.

hey dutch, not exactly the usual fare on such a part-- but it is nice. very clean cutting on the central design.
btw what is "looneynun" ?

Perhaps he meant a loon? But that bird is not a loon. Maybe the bird is a loony 'um?

Obviously spent time in Canada. It's when your fingers get numb from handling too much loonies.

I just had a nice PM from Jake Newell. He's the gentleman responsible for the central hummingbird motif and I'd like to publically acknowledge him here. I'd also like to thank him for appreciating that the piece was for my personal development as an engraver and not profit.
