Computer controlled engraving machine for fine detail

Can anyone recommend me computer controlled engraver (so prepare an image in software and let the machine engrave that on something) that does really fine/precise lines?
I basically want to draw/write text on a small piece of metal (such as copper) that is about 4cm x 2cm. And I would like to write text/numbers on it so hoping for something fine/small to write as much as possible. I basically need something that can do really high precision/DPI.

End goal is to be able to write a phone number and or some text along with it on a small piece of metal.

There are many computer controlled machines that can do that and a search of machine engraving sites will bring you the information you want.
This is a HAND engraving forum with very little knowledge of machine engraving.

You might look at Drawing, Design & Cutting in the forum sections.
Under Free Templates there is a post titled Making Your Own Panto. Templates by Monk.
Monk (Jay) has a lot of experience and knowledge with machine engraving as well as hand.
In one of his posts he lists his phone number for people needing help with templates etc.
You might try to give him a call, he is a most helpful gentleman.
