Oh wow. I think this one are from old wagon metal that traveled to the west. According to the client.
I just walked out and made a few tiny test cuts near the ferrel of one of the chisels with a lindsay corbalt graver. It cut... carbide is still harder than steel. I would just anticipate a fair ammount of sharpening... but you have more experience with engravijg than I. I am just learning, but I can say D2 is a pretty wear resistant steel as steels go. More so than O1 or a2.So you don’t think even a cobalt graver could stand that metal?
