Question: digital Microscopes

Hi all. I am at the point where if i want to improve i will need to change my optivisor to a microscope. I have in mind a good quality digital microscope with a screen and pc connection. I know that most of you use real optics and was wondering if any of you have any insight or experience using digital and a monitor? any and all feedback is welcome. Cheers.

not a good idea , you can't have a sense of the dept with a digital microscope, a stereo microscope give you a 3d vision that you can't have watching a monitor.

i do . the 2 i've fiddled with i don't think any of these systems at this point in time are useful for engraving. that is not to say that there isn't a system that would be useful for demonstration purposes. if you mean to use it as a visual aid for your engraving, there would be a lack of 3 dimensionality to your cutting attempts. not good at all.

There is also a slight delay between movement and display on the monitor. As stated by others, they are good for demos.
