fired enamel iss very fussy. it will fuse onto only very, very clean metal. copper and silver are primo for this. i have only experimented with the techniques. great things can be done with enameling, but like anything worthwhile- well-- you can gess the rest. it is handy to have a kiln, but not a requirement.
No,it oxidizes to easily.If iwere going to do this sort of thing,I would consider using a product like ceramit from Rio Grande and do like Greg says.
