Your drawing skill is excellent, and I really like your shading. That is one of my week points. I would like to know do you use a 120, 105, or a 90? I use a 105 or a 120 glensteel to cut my designs but for shading I find myself going to a 90. I start with a light rub of the heel and try to go deeper for a darker line but all lines appear to have much the same depth. I guess it must be a fine motor skill that I have not developed yet. Any suggestions?

I use the Lindsay universal graver... I think it's a 116 deg.
Your approach is correct.... Practice is what it takes.
