Engravable 1911's

I have a customer that is shopping for a 1911 for me to engrave. I looked at the list but it is in need of help. What ? 1911s are good to cut or at least mediocre in the stainless variety? Maybe looking at a blued variety also.
Suggestions?

rodsta,I just finished a Springfield 1911 A1 stainless slide it cut nice,I don't know what the frame would be like this was a slide only job.

Rodsta,
I recently engraved a Stainless Colt MK IV Series 80 - the slide was as tough as anything anyone would want to ever engrave. I spent nearly as much time sharpening as I did cutting. The frame was not nearly as bad.
If someone wants another one engraved, it will be at least double the cost for them.

Gordon, I found the same thing with a currently made blue Colt 1911.
Not much fun and plenty of work for the sharpening equipment.

Buy a blued one, only a couple of hard spots, the safety slot and the slide release slot. MTC
And the gold inlay pop
