Here is the "hammer" I got from Joe Rundell. If memory serves (and it sometimes does), he said the electrician tape was to keep the wood from splintering. I stripped it to show the form of the hammer head portion then replaced with new tape.

That is just like the one Joe gave me. Joe is a very nice guy and a fine sculptor as well. Several of his bronzes are standing in Michigan.
