There seem to be trend in art specific shows example: Orange County Coppers, Ace of Cakes, Monster Garage. and my favorite Mami Ink. ( and i dont even have tattoo.) These show seem to depict the drama of the process rather than the boring actuall process. I can see this working in in the gun engraving markets with some of you guys that are the elite. I can tell that the personalities are diverse, and there is no shortage of talent. Engravers seem to have the same demograpics: people who do; people that want to do; people who know they cant do but want to buy; people who cant afford to buy but want to dream. This is a common tread in all these markets. This industry has gatherings and contest just as the others. If I was a "master" I would get with my buddie masters and get two custom western revolvers with hex barells donated by what ever manufacturer would play ball. Each of the master buddies would do one cylnder and one flat side of the barrel. I would see to it that these guns are at every gun show and engraving show posible, then I would sell raffle tickets for them at all the shows and use that money to fund a pilot show shot by proffesionals( about the art not an instructional video[then I would market the video to TLC,dicovery or some of the other ones untill someone gave it a shot. Once they bit and I think they would. Gun companyies, the Nra and countless other related market demographics would advertise. It might spark a big craze in the engraving world school attendence could shoot sky high, gun sales could go up, hand engraving jobs for gun manufacurers could open up, The 5 day wait system would get cloged, the Nra could rally more support in "protecting our rights, It could be great! perhaps a far fetched Idea 6 years a go when gun control was the hot topic funny how they shut in times of war. Just a though Ive been told im nuts...Griff DONT THINK IT WOULD WORK WITH SPURS
