I just finished cutting a practice design of a Flare cut Scroll and thought I would post it for your comments. Sam Alfano and Brian Powley have both given me good insight on how to engrave using this method.

i think if you look up a post by roger bleile, you will see a buckle he engraved in that fashion. to this day, his monogram buckle remains my favorite of the many dozen buckles posted on this forum. sorry, in my praise of rogers' work, i forgot to mention that yours is pretty nice, with a clean flow to it.

Great work Bill nice and smooth cuts. If you can take a look as well at a practice piece Chris DeCamilus did with consultation from Roger. I think it is on you tube. Rod as well has done some fantastic work on Flute keys. I really like this style of engraving and can see Sam and Brian have you on the right track.

I really appreciate all of your comments. Hopefully you will see more of this style in some of my future projects.
Again Thank all of you, as I would not be at this point in my engraving career if it was not for all your encouragement and
help. Looking forward again to seeing you all at the FEGA show this next winter ( I just received my notice in the mail )
