Garage News: FEGA Show Thoughts

I have returned safe and the house is still standing, cats are alive, and daughter and granddaughter are safely on the ground in Virginia.

My favorite part of the show is reconnecting with long time friends and making a few new ones. My heartfelt gratitude to all who stopped by and visited and made me feel welcome. I picked up a few tips I hope to attempt this next year. I'm also grateful no tomatoes were launched my way during the seminar.

Missed seeing some faces-Fred Bowen, Rod Cameron, Mike Bissell, Bob Evans, Rex Pedersen, Brian Hochstrat, Scott Pilkington, just to name a few. Hope all of you are doing well.

Rod was our informal on-the-spot reporter and would take pictures of the people and displays and post them for those who were not able to attend. I think they must have been greatly appreciated. I enjoyed them and I was attending. I try to get around and visit a bit with everyone but don't always make it. My loss. If anyone has photos of the people or displays please post them. It's great fun to relive the show especially when I look out the window and see six inches of snow and below freezing temps.

I missed you, too and all of my other friends in FEGA. Maybe 2020. I hope you all had a good and profitable show. Judging by the pics it looks like the bar jumped a few more notches (as usual with you guys).

I was looking at my signed Lee Griffiths Special Edition chocolate milk carton yesterday in my engraving museum. A student was asking why I had that in my glass case.

I told him if he could get the same results from drinking milk that Lee did, he could become the Grand Master

Scott, that brought a smile. Made Lisa laugh out loud. Missed you. Some year I will make it to the engrave in. It looks like too much fun to miss.

As always Lee, it was a privilege to visit with you and see your great works of art.
But this year, great as your works are, it was your 17 month old granddaughter that stole the show and our hearts.

It was a pleasure meeting you, Sam, Marty, Mike, and all the rest at the show. I would like to encourage the beginners like myself to try and make the trek to Las Vegas next year. You learn a ton just from going to the show. Everyone was very friendly and willing to help and share information.
