GRS gravermach foot pedal problem???

Ok folks I need some help. Seems hammering in large quantities of 24k gold, 14k green gold and fine silver your tools hammer back.
I seem to have a leak coming from my GRS gravermach footpedal. I cant feel the leak but I can hear it. It's making my handpiece go full throttle. Anybody had this problem?? I'll call GRS tomorrow but I though I'd ask on here as well. Thanks

You have a leak in the hose or the pedal needs adjustment. There should be about 12mm distance between the edge of the brass piece and the edge of the set screw if you look through the access hole in the bottom.

could be a cracked hose, or the valve cylinder has slipped on its shaft and needs repositioned & the set screw retightened (the most likely cause). give me a call if you'd like...

Thank you Rex and Mitch. With that bit of info I realized the valve cylinder indeed slipped and it was an easy fix.
Easy because of the help, much appreciated.

Thanks for the advice. Mine must have slipped as it was working yesterday and today nothing happens when I press down on the pedal. There is pressure in the lines so this must be it. I'll attempt to fix it tomorrow and see how that goes.

This post saved me hours of banging my head against the wall to figure out why my foot throttle wasn't working at all today when yesterday it was!!! Never knew that adjustment set screw was even there!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Just ran into this and watched the GRS video on adjusting the bleed screw. Should be 7-8 mm not 12. Mine was loose as I had never touched it in 15 years. Closed gap to 7.5 mm , tightened and fixed. Thx for posting. Helped me a lot.

hello! i have a question regarding all this, my foot pedal is set at the right distance, and yet i still have air hissing out of the progressive bleed shaft, even when im not using it i can hear it and i can just about get my fingers in and feel the air. I know the videos for tightening it and mainting the distance say to tighten the screw but when i do that on even more air hisses out???

this is causing my 24l hyundai compressor to lose air and need to refill every 10 minutes, even when i turn everything off somehow air is leaking out. im at my wits end and am thinking maybe its my foot pedal?
