I like to make new truss rod covers for my guitars. Here are two of the better ones. It doesn't make my playing any better, but it does make me smile when I open then the case.
One is 24k gold crammed into steel. The other is a Whitman's sampler done on Sterling.

That's pretty choice work and it looks amazing on the guitar headstock. I really like the Whitman's sampler ( does it come with a map like the chocolates ? ) but the gold inlay is beautiful in its simplicity.

wowilson,
May I ask if you are a member of the Texas John Wilson family. ?
John Wilson attended some of the NRA engraving classes in the '80's and 90's.
The last I talked to John, years ago. he was also spending some time in Cloudcroft, NM.
Would be great to know if you are part of that same gifted Texas Wilson family.
I sure enjoyed seeing your guitar truss covers and look forward to seeing more of your work.

We do have a John Wilson, but it can't be the one you know. The stories are too salacious for this website. No, my family has always been exceedingly normal and boring.
Thanks John, I will have some more things of interest in the future.
