hammered metal gates

These aren't engravings, but still, I thought you all would enjoy them. They are forged and hammered metal gates in Italy, probably made in the 1920's. I didn't look closely to see what sort of metal, but I suspect bronze. Not sure copper would retain its shape for so long, and it seems too fluid for iron.

In the first two, look for the spider and butterfly. In the next two, you'll notice symbols of workers.

Here are a couple much simpler examples of ironwork in the transome over Italian doorways.
These could be useful shapes/forms/patterns for engraving.
