Help identifying engraver

We have a Savage model 720 12ga with the wartime proof marks stamped in it. The shotgun is highly engraved by what must be a very good engraver. This would have been done after WW2, maybe in the 50-60's.
Any help would be fantastic.

Browning licensed Remington and Savage for many years.

Your shotgun was engraved by a Japanese engraver. The work of Japanese engravers is very distinctive. During the occupation, American GIs could buy guns through the BX/PX and have them engraved locally at very modest cost. Also, during the 1970s, Robert Izenstark imported several Japanese gun engravers into the US under the name REI engraving. Your gun could have been engraved in either way.

I am surprised they did not sign or mark their engravings in a way that you would know who did them.
