The tip I picked up for taking apart things that may decide to 'help' you get things out is to do it inside a large clear bag. The 2-gallon ZipLock bags work great.
Sooner or later something will find its way out through the gap between your hands but at least you know what direction it went.

Chill out put the work to the side and sooner or later the missing parts will appear

Dave

You were right, just be patient, found them! Wooooohoooooooo, the only problem is that I stepped on the spring, but that can be easily fixed! I hope:confused:

I am not a gunsmith so maybe my opinion is not appropriate. Having said that my son spent 2 years at Trinidad in CO to learn the trade. It seams to me that taking apart a firearm with no training or experience is a risky business. I also see why any other gunsmith might not want to get involved.

I use a plastic bin from the dollar store. Big parts go in box. smalls get bagged and into the box they go. The box gets masking tape label as who and what.
I usually bag screws and such as by part . Such as in a SAA the 3 grip frame screws go into bag. The trigger guard screws go into bag . As some of the screws will interchange
but really only fit well in the hole they came out of.
