Here are a couple of nickels I carved this week.
I have been trying to do finer hair details for a while and never had the results I wanted.
In the past I was doing most of my carving with just a flat graver.
I met Lee Griffiths at a knife show and he showed me a few different graver angles to try. THANKS Lee!:)
Also A BIG THANKS to Sam for this site, as I've learned a lot in the short time Ive been here. Did a bunch of the tutorials....

They look good Keith. Shamey was telling me the one on the left is a self portrait;) I told him I didn't think so.

Hey Mike,
The nose is way too small.
Owen is coming out to NJ in July or August and staying at my house for a week. We are going to go to Shameys. Maybe we can all get together. John Belmonte is going too.
