Just saw this on on of the photography forums I hang out at. while much of this has been covered here already this a good review in a different format

For an even simpler method you can use plain white computer paper as a backdrop and another piece in front of your digital camera flash that goes over the top of the item also. This is how I photographed my jewelry shots that I posted. It does limit lighting control somewhat but it works for my purposes.;)

Scott, thanks for thd link. I was checking out the photo of the day over on the GRS sight and saw your beautiful chop sticks-I have a set my dad brought back from the big war that are silver with chinesse lettering. Yours are very beatiful-love to see a few more shoots, Fred
