Hi,
I acquired a collection of Ron Gaston knives with floral pattern engraving on the knife bolsters.
The engraving is marked with the initals H L at the bottom of the engraving. When I google "Knife Engraving H L", I only find that there was a Claude Montjoy knife with engraving marked HL that sold at auction.
Can someone help me identify who the engraver is?
Thank you,
David

David,

Your engraver is Harry Limings, Jr. of Johnstown, Ohio. He has been engraving for over 30 years. He originally was a gun engraver but for many years has mostly worked in the custom knife trade. His typical scrollwork is cut in the style of the late Lynton McKenzie.
