Just found some old portraits

I've been rummaging around in a loft and found these paintings I did in the 70's and early 80's, some solumn faces there, I think my wife got a bit tired of posing too :rolleyes: They're a bit damaged and worse for wear!

So, Jack Price my late father in law, Simon, Linda and me in the heavy metal days :eek:

very good , the mind boggles to how good you are now ? a more recent portrait maybe ?

Ive been learning to draw as i know it will serve me well in engraving . any tips ?

you certainly had a good grasp on art back in the day, Phil! Love seeing these.

Sam, in those pre engraving days, I painted as much as I could...that was between gigging, I loved painting, I did lots of portraits for people, but another reason was to earn money which was very tight in those days :rolleyes:
