Knife Engraving Question

I am looking at doing some folding knife engraving before long for the cowboy market and I was wondering where do most of you put your initials or makers marks on knives? Do you leave a small place on one of the bolsters?

I am looking at doing some folding knife engraving before long for the cowboy market and I was wondering where do most of you put your initials or makers marks on knives? Do you leave a small place on one of the bolsters?

Personally, I engrave my name as maker on the underside of the lock bar before hardening. The engraving is clearly visible when the blade is opened. That way the aesthetic of the design isn't interrupted by a makers mark. You can also etch your mark on the blade itself, if you prefer.
