Hello,

Many of you are familiar with one side of the knife. Now the second side is also finished. I tried to implement all your suggestions about design and you be the judges if I succeeded or not. I like this side much better, but I think I'm still not quite there yet. Ron's book about scroll design is now my most read book :)

Please give any suggestions about anything that can be improved. I really like this engraving thing and I'd like to grow as much and as fast as it is possible in this digital form.

Viljo

Looks great! I think it flows better than the first. Btw, what is this book you are talking about, can you point me in the direction of it? Sounds like interesting info..

Thanks, Michael

Vilts, that's a huge improvement. Everything's growing correctly on this side. There could be slight design improvements which would mean not stretching things to fit into place but this will come with time and practice and understanding. That aside, well done; you have listened to the critique and acted accordingly. A great effort, keep it up!

Thanks for your kind words!

Marcus, could you please explain and/or show where this stretching to fit the space occurs? This is indeed one thing I didn't know to look for and honestly right now I still can't see it.

Aloha Viljo,
You're a very fast study! The was really nothing "wrong" with the first knife you shared but this one has so many subtle improvements that it doesnt really bear much relation to the first. Your shade lines are very sweet.

Thanks for sharing the update.

Viljo, you're doing exceptionally well. You've accomplished a lot in a very short time. I can only imagine how good your work will be as time progresses. Bravo!
