Except... Bottom of the design, the scrolls are a bit thin - wind up looking like scorpion tails.

Now you're seeing it like I've been seeing it all along! 
I agree about the scorpion tails. I'd open up the entire design with more negative space, scaling the design to the phone.

Hi Jim,
Overall it looks pretty good, but the scrolls under the N and A from Nokia are flowing backwards. Also, the leaves along the sides and bottom of the screen area are going to be more difficult to cut than normal scroll leaves. Why not use the same leaves as you already have in the scroll pattern, to keep some continuity throughout the pattern?
